MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
Our Lions driven "Message in a Bottle", is a simple plastic container which, when given out, contains two stickers and a personal health form. You simply complete the form, which has details of your name, address, doc-tors name any medication you are taking, and medical history.
Once completed the form is placed in the container and the container placed in the refrigerator. You then put one sticker on the front door and the other on the fridge door.In the event of an emergency arising,
attending paramedics will automatically look in the fridge and will access your medical history which greatly speeds up any diagnosis and treatment. Although we do not keep any records, we believe that this process has contributed to the saving of many lives, above all, we sincerely hope that your container never has to be used in earnest but it is wise to be prepared just in case.

THE PLUGSTER
Do you, anyone in your family or anyone you know struggle with pulling plugs from sockets?
If so Otley Lions Club may be able to help with our new “Plugster®”
The Plugster® was designed by Ian the Inventor, as he had become aware of how difficult the moulded electrical plug is to remove from a socket. Looking at the disabled aids that were available and seeing how their design created some problems he started to think about how to solve this issue and the Plugster® was born.
They are easy to fit by simply pushing the plug pins through one end, wrapping it around the plug and then pushing the pins back through the other end.
